Tilly the explorer

Just a few photos from my beach walk with Tilly down at the harbour now that the footpath is open again and all the dredging machinery gone. She enjoys being off lead and checking out all the obstacles. At training we do dog parkour and although she does try her best in class with two paws on some things and four paws in other things she enjoyed checking out all these new things on the beach much better. Big boulders and very big sticks to sniff at and climb over. She's loving her new adventures.

Oh no, there's some dark clouds overhead, best get home for lunch

  1. Tilly's so lucky to have the beach as her playground. We took Archie to Scarborough yesterday, it's a shame we don't live a little closer so that we could go more often as he loves running around in the wide open spaces and paddling in the sea. As for the clouds, yes, we got caught in the rain, but that doesn't matter, we enjoyed it all the same.

    1. I didn't used to appreciate where I lived, too busy working I suppose but it's a joy to go down to the beach and I know I'm lucky. I've just started being confident enough to let Tilly explore off lead and she seems so happy. It's good to know Archie got to do the things he loves in Scarborough, I do hope there will be photos on your blog :)

  2. Given how much more sensitive her nose is than ours, that sort of walk must be a delightful sensory overload.

Of course, you might not think her investigating is so wonderful when she comes back with something dead and rotting!

    1. She always has her nose to the ground on our walks, must be her spaniel genes. Yuk thanks Jayne, I'm not looking forward to that dead and rotting present :)

  4. Tilly seems to be having so much fun out there on the beach! So many interesting scents and the freedom to run around off leash! I lived by the beach a long time ago and loved it! I'm still within an hour or so drive from the beach, but, don't go as often as I could.

    1. That's a shame you don't live by the beach anymore and I can understand you not going often if it's an hour's drive away. It's so nice to be able to go and walk on the sand and Tilly looks to be enjoying herself for sure.
