Thank you

Just a quick blog post to say thank you to my lovely blogging friends for emails that I wasn't up to replying to, all of you concerned for my well being.

I'm pleased to report that my  hospital treatments are over and done with now despite my falling ill during the course. I'm still not one hundred percent fit but I'm getting better.

I actually felt up to doing a little housework yesterday which is a big milestone for me after weeks and weeks of neglecting it but housework was not important in the grand scheme of things.

I haven't been out into the garden much either and was surprised today to see how many roses and buds are still on this one rose bush. I was really pleased to receive an insect hotel as a gift from my daughter, hubby has placed it on the side of the shed near to the plants in the raised bed. He hasn't been well himself so another sign he is feeling better too.

I hope to get back to reading and leaving comments on your blogs soon, all is well here.

    1. The bug hotel is great and such an unusual gift, I hope a bee will use it. I was surprised to see the roses and buds on the bush in November. I'm taking things easy as I still feel rather fatigued with everything I have been through and I know it will take time for me to recover.

  3. Did you ring the bell, it's the best sound ever. Don't push yourself it took me a few months to regain any stamina, it will come, nows the time to plan to do all the things you have missed. Congratulations it's a hard journey and you made it.

    1. Unfortunately I didn't get to ring the bell following my radiotherapy. I'm reluctant to write about what has happened to me and I'm still suffering some side effects of the treatment. It certainly hasn't been an easy time but I must be made of stern stuff. I'm sure I'll continue on the road to recovery.

  4. Thank you for letting us know that you are on the mend. I was going to pop another email this weekend as I've no other way of getting in touch. That ros is looking good for well into autumn & the bug hotel is really cute. Take care, stay safe & hugs from down under.

  5. Lovely to hear from you and such good news that your treatment is finally finished. I know that radiotherapy can be so tough, especially when you've just endured chemotherapy, and it isn't just the physical effects, the trauma of what you've been through can last a very long time so be kind to yourself, take it easy and treat yourself, well, as much as you can treat yourself in lockdown, you deserve it xx

    1. Three weeks of daily radiotherapy was tough and although they warn about possible side effects, when they happen it's worse than imagined. I had two weeks of antibiotics which had no effect and thankfully I was able to speak to my GP last week, she gave me a week's course of stronger ones which have worked their magic. I am thoroughly fatigued but have hopefully turned a corner now. I know it all takes time so will not overdo things and I know you understand. We're not in lockdown in Wales but may as well be here xx

  7. I was thinking of you just yesterday, so I'm pleased to hear you are feeling stronger. It's good to know hubby is feeling better too.
Don't be in any hurry to blog. Rest up and put your own needs first. We'll all still be here when you feel ready. X

    1. Thank you Jules, yes it's been a tougher time than I'd imagined. I've not been up to reading or writing, a combination of fatigue and brain fog. I've just had an idea for a short blog post, hubby took the photo.
It'll be good to look back on this when I'm fully fit again.
